Message from the Treasurer

Steve Matheson took office as Kootenai County Treasurer January 12, 2015.

Previously, he served as: Executive Director of JPMorgan, Chicago, IL; Managing Director of Banc One Capital Markets, Columbus, OH; Senior Audit Officer of Seattle First National Bank, Seattle, WA; and Senior Audit Officer of Farmers New World Life Insurance Company, Mercer Island, WA.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Washington University with majors in Accounting and Business Administration with emphasis in Finance and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. He was previously licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington and has held various investment licenses in a number of Midwestern states.

Steve is married with three children.
